As a child, some of my happiest memories were going every October to Gas Company Appreciation Night with my Granny Mae and little cousins—it was our family tradition, and it filled my heart with joy. When I became a mother, I made sure to carry that tradition forward, taking my own children to Disney often so they, too, could experience the magic.

As an educator, I’ve always looked for bright spots to balance the difficult work I do, and Disney has been that light for me. Now, with my baby boy off to college, I’m embracing a new chapter—helping other families create their own magical traditions while continuing to enjoy the happiness that Disney brings into my life.

✨ My Story

For as long as I can remember, Disneyland has been part of my life. As a little girl, some of my happiest memories were attending Gas Company Appreciation Night every October with my Granny Mae and cousins. I remember holding my $20 ticket (😲 can you believe it) in my hand and bundling up for an evening filled with fun. Those visits sparked a tradition of joy, connection, and wonder that shaped my childhood—and when I became a mother, I made sure to pass that tradition down to my own children. Disney became more than a destination; it became a way to celebrate family, create memories, and remind myself of life’s bright spots.

I’ve spent over 25 years in education, serving in nearly every role—from classroom teacher to school principal. I know firsthand the dedication it takes to care for others, and I’ve always turned to Disney as a place of renewal and inspiration. For the past four years, I paused my entrepreneurial pursuits to devote myself fully to supporting my son’s basketball journey. This fall, he joined the men’s basketball team at Pacific University, and with my new season of life as an empty-nester, I’ve chosen to lean fully into another passion that has always brought me joy: Disney travel.

My favorite part of visiting Disneyland isn’t just the big rides or the iconic castle—it’s discovering the quiet corners, the overlooked details, the tiny touches of magic that most guests walk past.
